Abstract: In this work the M6Bbauer effect on the 21.6 keV $\gamma$-transition of $^{151}$Eu has been used to investigate the pressure dependence of the magnetic hyperfine interaction in the ferromagnetically saturated phase of EuS, EuSe and EuTe applying simultaneously high pressure up to 20 kbar and high external magnetic fields of about 12 T. Moreover, we have studied the effect of pressure on the core polarization field B$_{c}$ of the Eu$^{2+}$-Ion in the magnetic dilution system $Eu_{x}Sr_{1-x}S$. The following results of our experiments are of particular interest: 1) The magnetic hyperfine (hf) fields B$^{\uparrow \uparrow}_{I}$ in the ferromagnetically saturated state of EuS, EuSe and EuTe do not respond very sensitively to applied pressures up to 20 kbar, in contrast to EuO. 2) The pressure dependence of B$^{\uparrow \uparrow}_{I}$ for EuS, EuSe and EuTe predominantly reflects the pressure dependence of the hf field contributions B$_{1}$ transferred from the nearest Eu$^{2+}$-neighbours. The contributions B$_{2}$ transferred from the next nearest Eu$^{2+}$-neighbours are concluded to be much less pressure dependent and negligible. 3) The core polarization field B$_{c}$ induced by the Eu$^{2+}$-ion's own 4f-moment is nearly independent of pressure up to 20 kbar, at least for EuS.
